Ex Hot Rod Magazine Sweepstakes Give A Way car
It is exciting to be able to offer this special 1948 Chevrolet street rod. This particular car was sponsored by BF Goodrich, and built for Hot Rod magazine as a sweepstakes give a way car. There was 2 "fat fender" street rods built to salute Hot Rod's 45th anniversary. This car was built by Chuck Lambardo of California Street Rods. It is powered by a crate ZZ3 350 Cu In V8 engine and backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. 1972 Camaro front clip. Dupont Royal red base coat clear coat exterior with tan cloth interior. Boyd wheels, Ron Francis, Specialty power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, Walker radiator, Flowmaster exhaust, Griffey seats, Springfield Street Rods dash, and Autometer gauges are just a few of the options that were installed in the build. This car has been well cared for, and does show some wear. This is a great street rod with great history. A great chance to own a piece of Hot Rod Magazine history.
